4.0 out of 5 stars Lots of Engaging Toys, January 27, 2010

Both my daughter loves this "saucer," as my 3 yr. old has dubbed it. We got it when my youngest was 4 mo. and she loved the colors and toys right away. We did have to stuff a blanket around her middle and put a folded one under her feet at first, but only for a few weeks as she gained strength and figured out how to "stand" in it. I thought at first that she was too short, but now I think it was more about her putting weight on her legs. She is in the 50th percentile for height and weight, so a small baby might need something under their feet at first.
The toys are even more interesting to her now that she can manipulate them better. They make satisfying sounds and react well to her touch. Only the "piano" is electronic and takes batteries, and she could care less about it so far because she doesn't understand buttons yet. My 3 yr. old daughter loves to play along with the lion puppet - she can make the baby laugh with it! I love that it has loops to attach your own toys if you... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Dangerous. Flips easily. Should be recalled., March 31, 2010

I would have not purchased this toy had I read even one review that it flipped easily. My twin is a dancer and tossed the entire unit on it's side today, cracking his head on the hardwood floor and leaving a gigantic bruise on his forehead. He is ten months old and twenty two pounds. Believe me, I watch every move these babies make--do not even bathe until my husband is home to watch them. They are always in the same room with me. I just want to be sure you understand that this did not happen fron lack of being properly looked after. I'm so nervous now--am e-mailing the company and waiting for a reply. But for now, please don't buy this for your babies. The thought of another baby coming out of this thing makes me sick and, to be honest, quite angry. Please buy something else. Anything else. I'll post a follow up after hearing what they say. Today is March 31st, 2010.

2.0 out of 5 stars Falling apart already!, March 29, 2010

I bought this item for my daughter based on pictures online. I wish now I had found one in a store to actually see in person how cheaply made this toy is. My daughter is only 5 months old now and has been using this for a few weeks. After two weeks- and she obviously isn't very strong at this point- toys are falling off. We are going to have to do what another reviewer suggested and super glue the items in place. She does enjoy this toy and I love seeing her use it- I just wish I had bought something more sturdy that didn't involve me having to resort to super glue or duct tape. Waste of money pretty much.

When I was looking at entertainment stuff for our new baby, I knew I wanted something similar to what our boys had had. Very few stationary entertainers out there rock and bounce anymore. That was half the fun for my little guys! At one point, T-Rex didn't even play with the toys - he just liked to jump and spin! Anyway, this entertainer does that - jumps/bounces, has a rotating seat, and has a rocker bottom (you can pull out the feet if you don't want it to bobble). The toys are brightly colored - not pastel, which has been proven not be as visually stimulating. The toys are very engaging, too. The only con I would add is that it takes 9 AAA batteries to make all the toys work. I was willing to buy it anyway because of all the stages it offers. I liked the play mat for the tiny infant stage, the exersaucer for her current stage (5 months) and the idea of a play table when she's older. I don't feel like I spent a bunch of money on something she will only be interested in for... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Both Pros and Cons, January 2, 2010

As an activity center for the baby to sit in, this is great because the baby can turn around and do all the activities. What's nice about this product is that you can transform it from a seated center into a standing activity center; however, when you do that, not only is it space consuming, but it is extremely unsturdy. When my baby stands up at it, I have to hold the activity center down because the legs are too far apart to make it sturdy. Also, it's very easy for the baby to push his or her weight and knock it over.

5.0 out of 5 stars ONE OF THE BEST TOYS TO OWN!!, June 12, 2009
By
This review is from: Evenflo ExerSaucer Triple Fun - Jungle (Baby Product)
We have a very big 8 month old (approx. 26 lbs., and 30" tall), so we wanted a really good quality exersaucer that could to stand up to his jumping in it. We did a bunch of shopping around and this is the best one available. Our son loves all the toys on it as well as all the sounds it makes (he especially likes the talking iguana). It is a very study and well made toy. I checked both the Toys 'R Us and the Target websites on 6/12/09 and they were both charging $129 for this exersaucer. In closing, I would highly recommend this toy!

5.0 out of 5 stars No regrets, November 5, 2010
By

This review is from: Evenflo Splash Mega Exersaucer (Baby Product)
PROS: Reasonably priced, doesn't require batteries, higher weight limit than most jumpers, interesting toys that can snap out and be exchanged.

CONS: Springs in the legs sometimes snap out of place (easy to fix, but annoying), no 'kickstand' to stop the Exersaucer from wobbling around

BEST USE: Around 6 months in age

4 MONTHS: We bought this when our son was 4 months old, it took him another month to really grow into it. Had it come with some stoppers (old school exersaucers used to have them) it could have stayed still and been less scary, though he adjusted quickly.

6 MONTHS: Ideal age, able to interact with toys, but because child is not really mobile - wouldn't object much to hanging out and playing. Would play for 30 minute clips easily.

8 MONTHS: Nearly obsolete. While my son was still within the weight limit, he really didn't like to sit still. He might hang in there for 5-10 minutes, but no longer.

12 MONTHS:... Read more

This is one of my 4 1/2-month-old twins playing in the exersaucer. I show the toys that come with it and how they snap in and out, and a chewy fishie that doesn't come with it but you can order on Amazon as well. I also show how well my son fits into it (he is 25" long), as well as give my opinion on how the exersaucer is holding up. Please pay no attention to the dirty diapers in the background, I have two teething twins and a husband on deployment :)

The good: My 6 month old baby boy loves to rock out in here. I'm very glad I didn't get one with MORE "bells and whistles" because the stuff on this one is plenty, in fact i don't even use all the attachments at once because he gets overwhelmed. I can't imagine the overload from one of the crazy ones that costs more. This thing is plenty entertaining and it totally wears him out.

The bad: At 6 months old and only 70 percentile in height, he is (according to the instructions) already supposed to be on the highest height setting so that he's on tippytoe not flat footed. So that seems rediculous, he would outgrow on height almost immediately. Also, because he's still pretty lightweight it seems top-heavy if I put it on the highest setting AND it also seems uncomfortable because then he is "hanging" from his hips too much and not actually practicing standing -- so actually i put it on the middle setting and just sit right next to it and watch very very carefully to avoid...
